This recorded webinar will provide information and answer questions about AML/CFT regime. It will summarise who should be a reporting entity and what key elements need to be in a risk assessment and AML/CFT programme, clarify what activities are captured and what needs to be obtained to meet ID and address verification requirements.

This webinar aims to create clarity for practitioners around interpretation of aspects of the legislation and what they must practically do to comply.

This session discusses the various components of the AML/CFT regime. It also describes the audit and record keeping requirements. Highlights include:

  • Key elements of the risk assessment and AML programme
  • Ongoing client monitoring, staff vetting and training
  • Annual reporting to the DIA and 2-yearly Audit requirements incl who can be an Auditor
  • Suspicious Activity and Prescribed Transaction definitions and reporting
  • Clarifying some aspects of running the programme (ID and address verification, treatment of tax transfers and other captured activities incl disbursements, wire transfers)
  • Record keeping requirements

This webinar will explain and clarify the AML/CTF reporting regime for CA ANZ members, based on member feedback about areas of concern.
