Relationship Management: Building Bridges - Not Barriers Workshop
The objective of this two-day workshop is to assist managers, team leaders and other staff in developing key skills for building and maintaining positive relationships with others.
This activity will provide a comprehensive overview of how to build bridges rather than barriers in relationships. Assessing the impact of your own behaviour, you will gain insight into how to develop a positive attitude, and appropriate behaviour when dealing with different personalities, values and types of behaviour, to build future networks. You will also master effective listening and communication, and develop ways of resolving differences; handling conflict as well as conveying negative information constructively.
Upon satisfactory completion of this activity you will be able to:
- Recognise the power of attitude and behaviour and the role they play in promoting positive relationships
- Identify common barriers to effective relationships and the key skills to overcome these
- Communicate effectively to avoid the roadblocks in building relationships
- Use specific techniques to help build networks for the future
Develop a toolkit of skills and techniques to build and maintain positive working relationships with others. Gain the ability to recognise and avoid the pitfalls that can lead to damaged relationships, and also how to recover and rebuild relationships.
