Primary Sector Conference 2020

Tailor made for rural accounting practitioners working with primary sector businesses, the Primary Sector Conference 2020 will deliver expert guidance on farming in an environment of uncertainty.
Hear from our rural experts who will provide you with an economic and rural tax update and help you understand the recent changes taking place in the rural sector, so that you can position yourself as a trusted advisor for your clients.

This year’s programme will take you off-site, offering you a unique opportunity to get a glimpse at the latest technologies on the horizon and demonstrate how the industry’s leading organisations put these innovations into practice.

Join us to connect and collaborate with fellow rural practitioners and engage in debate about the future for rural accountants.

What can you expect from the programme?
  • An update on the latest economic and tax changes in the rural sector
  • Understand how to maintain social licenses to farm
  • Hear from rural experts about new technologies on the horizon and how that will assist with smarter farming
  • External field trips demonstrating new technology put into practice
  • A variety of optional sessions so that you can tailor your experience to suit your requirements

Kate Milne, National President, Federated Farmers

Named as the first female National President of the Federated Farmers in the organisation’s 120-year history, Katie is as much at home on the family dairy farm as in a boardroom.

Her down-to-earth manner and empathy means she can talk easily to the Prime Minister as any farmer. A commentator of Katie said some decisions she is handed are not always the ideal outcome for the farming sector, but she continually comes up with positive ways to help farmers get on board, or if needed she pushes for change.

Adrian Orr, Governor, Reserve Bank of New Zealand
Adrian was appointed Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand in March 2018.

Previously Adrian was Chief Executive Officer at the New Zealand Superannuation Fund. During his time there, he won many awards including the Deloitte IPANZ Improving Performance through Leadership Executive award in 2016 and Asian Investor’s Individual Contribution to Institutional Investment Award in 2017.

Penny Clark-Hall, Social Licence Consultant
Over the past 14 years, Penny has specialised in communications, politics and public relations.

Through her extensive Social Licence research and engagement with experts around the world, Penny has narrowed down some core insights into how to earn and maintain Social Licence.

Through authentic and genuine engagement, she helps businesses build stronger stakeholder relationships by humanising how we operate and engage with our stakeholders.
