A two-for-one session presented by the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) covering its most recent regulatory findings of compliance by reporting entities in the accounting sector, as well as a comparison against the international standard. Officials will provide insight into what best practice currently looks like and where improvements are needed. 

Members also have an opportunity to send through questions for the presenters.

Following this session, attendees will be able to:
  • Understand the Department of Internal Affairs’ most recent regulatory findings, particularly as they relate to the accounting sector
  • Understand how compliance in New Zealand compares with the international standard
  • Recognise what best practice looks like as well as identify areas where improvement is needed within reporting entities
