This activity will teach you the essential skills, attributes and strategies of an effective negotiator. You will learn about the negotiation process using the seven steps of preparation for negotiation, how to set the environment for negotiations and to identify the difference between negotiation and other forms of agreement. Key skills and tactics include working towards agreement - opening, discussing, proposing and bargaining and influencing. We will also cover how to use negotiation skills to manage conflict, understand different social styles and counteract games people play.

- Negotiate successfully in a variety of situations.
- Use win-win negotiating techniques and strategies to prepare and present appropriate negotiation packages.
