Managing Behaviour in the Workplace: Topic 3 - How to overcome frazzle and stress

This activity is presented by NeuroCapability.

This activity provides insight into why being constantly ‘On’, feeling stressed or ‘brain dead’ is contributing to poor productivity, lower engagement levels and rising rates of fatigue. Gain an understanding of ‘frazzle’, cognitive overload and how to manage your workplace pressure with the brain in mind.

Topics can be purchased individually or as a 7-part series, Managing Behaviour in the Workplace.

About

The ‘frazzle’ effect is that experience we have when our brains are over-stimulated. The more pressure intensifies, the less we are able to hold information in working memory, to pay attention or to react flexibly—let alone creatively. This activity will share ways to intentionally guard against a constant state of being ’brain fried’ in the complex world we operate within.

Upon satisfactory completion of this activity you will be able to:

  • Recognise the neuroscience of frazzle and why this is deadly to productivity and creativity.
  • Summarise the longer term implications of stress and our ability to function.
  • Implement mindfulness practices to train your brain to overcome frazzle.

Benefits

Understanding how frazzle affects your brain, and how to prime your brain to manage it, will support you to effectively manage stress and build resilience.

*NB: Purchase of this topic includes access to the complimentary Foundation module 'Who's driving your behaviour? You or your brain?' This module focuses on how to improve interaction and performance in the workplace through an understanding of how the brain drives behaviour and influences responses to its environment.
