Liability insurance update for business owners



The aims of this webinar are to discuss the liability landscape following the unprecedented Covid-19 interruption, providing finance leaders with information on their key considerations around their Director, Employment and Health & Safety responsibilities, with the aim being to help mitigate these risks whilst making business decisions.  There will also be a focus on the increased Cyber risk faced with many operations allowing work from home now and potentially into the future.

Introduction to Liability (Directors & Officers, Employment Disputes, Statutory Liability) with a focus on how the above are all impacted by Covid-19 and decisions that business owners/finance leaders are being forced to make and quickly.  This section will cover off the key legal requirements that still apply in each section, the key considerations and the insurance response. 

This section will be run by Melissa Cross.

 

The Cyber section will provide some stats on current cybercrime, brief description on cyber insurance and some real-life case study stories to try and articulate the different cyber risks clearly.

This section will be run by Chris Bull.

Melissa Cross

Melissa has 24 years insurance broking experience in international broking firms advising corporate clients and professional service firms on all aspects of liability risk and insurance. She has particular expertise in technical issues concerning liability related insurance policy coverage, contractual liability contract reviews and claims management settlement.

 

Chris Bull

Chris has over 20 years of insurance underwriting, insurance broking and relationship management experience.  Prior to joining Crombie Lockwood he was responsible for managing large broking business partner relationships for Vero Insurance.  Since joining Crombie Lockwood Chris has helped build strong relationships in the Commercial & Corporate sectors of ANZ to assist ANZ Business Owners in understanding and mitigating their business risks.  He has also been involved in the implementation of large National Insurance programmes for industries and Associations.

Chris has knowledge in all areas of commercial risk and specialises in Construction and Cyber risk management and mitigation.
