Introduction to Integrated Reporting


This recorded webinar series is primarily designed for individuals who want to understand Integrated Reporting, including integrated thinking and the benefits it can bring to an organisation e.g. directors, senior executive and other managers who are interested in a high level overview of the what is happening in business reporting, the move towards integrated and strategic reporting and the benefits.


Content Description

Introduction to Integrated Reporting is designed to give participants an understanding of Integrated Reporting, including integrated thinking, and the benefits it can bring to an organiszation. The topics covered in this training include:

  • The vision for better corporate reporting – the evolution of the movement and adopting


  • The fundamental principles of value creation, the capitals and the value creation process


  • Achieving integrated thinking


  • Preparing the integrated report – the guiding principles, content elements and the integrated report


  • Implementing - from financial management to value management – implementing the management system, establishing credibility and trust and the annual preparation process.

  • Learning Outcomes

    Upon satisfactory completion of the series, you will be able to present the business case for the introduction to Integrated Reporting, including integrated thinking, to an organisation. You will also be able to explain the fundamental concepts of value creation, the capitals, and the value creation process to an organisation, as well as describing the requirements of International Framework. Finally, you'll be able to describe the factors that contribute to successful implementation of Integrated Reporting, within an organisation.

    This is a recorded 5-part webinar series that requires 3 hours of pre-reading. You will receive this in your confirmation email, along with all recorded webinars. On completion of this course, including the course evaluation the participant will receive an Approved Training Program, Certificate of Completion from the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC).


    Nick Ridehalgh FCA is currently a partner at KPMG, leading their Better Business Reporting practice. For more than 17 years, Nick has focused on supporting organisations seeking to move towards value-based decision making and reporting. Nick was a member of the IIRC’s working group that developed the global Framework (released in December 2013). He has been the project leader for the Business Reporting Leaders Forum (BRLF) since its inception in 2011. (The BRLF is an open forum focused on improving corporate reporting in Australia – its members include company executives, investors, standard setters, accountants, sustainability practitioners, regulators, academics and many others interested parties). Nick was also a founding member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) Business Reporting Group.



    Kylie Dumble CA is an Associate Director in KPMG’s CFO Advisory practice and specialises in Better Business Reporting, a service designed to assist companies improve their end-to-end internal and external reporting and partner with them on their journey towards Integrated Reporting. Kylie spent 18 months on secondment with the IIRC where she assisted with the technical development of the Framework.
