To understand 'leadership' we must first understand ourselves and those with whom we work.

Four Quadrant Leadership is a comprehensive leadership development model created by Wilfred Jarvis after more than five decades of research and testing.  The principal modules of Four Quadrant Leadership include – personal mastery, winning hearts and minds and leadership in practice.

In this activity you will contemplate what makes you the unique person you are, your attitudes, interpretations, understandings, abilities and personality. The activity focuses on the personality and practices of the leader, providing tools to seek constructive and positive results, value empathic relationships, clear communication and determination to make better choices. You will develop the skills to implement the Four Quadrant Leadership framework which can be made explicit and shared with the team to increase shared understanding and improve capabilities.

Upon satisfactory completion of this activity you will be able to:
  • Appreciate the values of people in your team.
  • Identify levels and steps for delegation and responsibility in the workplace.
  • Share decision-making wisely.
  • Delegate and communicate appropriate expectations and requirements.
  • Diagnose poor performance in the workplace and provide an appropriate remedy that produces a positive result for all parties.

This activity arms you with the knowledge and skills to confront the challenges in your leadership role, and become more effective in the way you interpret and respond in a number of leadership situations.
