Building Knowledge: Driving Change in your Organisation and Career

Hear from change leaders, CEOs and CFOs from key Wellington organisations.  Members will learn how to embrace change and build resilience in their careers and organisation.
The four session will be linked by a common theme on how to embrace and drive change in your organisation and career.  Each session will then explore a different angle related to change management.

A light breakfast will be served from 7.45am for each event, with the sessions running from 8am to 9am.

Lara Ariell (FCA), CFO, IRD

Lara joined Inland Revenue in April 2016.  She leads IR’s Performance, Facilities and Finance group and the Enterprise Support Services transformation workstream. 

Before joining IR, Lara was the Deputy Chief Executive - Finance at the Tertiary Education Commission. She also worked for the Ministry of Justice, initially as the CFO and then as General Manager Performance and Improvement, Courts and Tribunals.  She also spent time as the CFO at Te Papa Tongarewa, the Museum of New Zealand, and working in planning and finance teams across the public sector. 
She started her career working in receivership and insolvency with accountancy firm Price Waterhouse and then McCallum Petterson and Co.

Rob Heaney, Managing Director, ORG.SPD

Rob has over 17 years experience working within and consulting to private, public and not-for-profit sector organisations. Rob's experience in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom includes Defence, Education, Energy, Financial Services, Government, Health, Telco and other industries. Rob has held senior management positions in Organisational Strategy and Governance, Human Resources, and Information Technology. 
Most recently Rob was a senior Director for PwC NZ, and national lead for PwC's People & Organisation Advisory Services.

Jayne Paterson O'Connell, Head of Agile, Xero

Jayne has spent the past three years building a global team of Agile practitioners who work together to improve how products are created and delivered at Xero. Alongside her team, she's on a mission to build high performing product development teams who are focused on outcomes, connected to their customers and who work together to deliver valuable products. A believer in the power of strong teams, Jayne is passionate about creating a safe environment where learning and innovations thrives.

Diana Minnee, Head of Delivery, Trade Me

Working with more than 60 technical squads, as well as business teams, to help them do their best work. Diana firmly believes that effective delivery comes not from methodologies and processes, but from the right mindset and culture. Having a 'Modern Agile' mindset helps motivate people through having a purpose, mastery and autonomy. Jamie Farmer, Chief Executive Officer, Grow NZ Business

Twenty-two years with General Electric provided Jamie with global exposure to successful and not so successful business models. With more the 20 years’ experience and extensive research of global best practice and successful implementations of Business Model Innovation, Jamie has proven expertise to address the challenges and capture the opportunities presented in today’s environment of digital disruption and rapidly accelerating changes in customer behaviour.
